Moving at a leisurely pace, this trip allows you to enjoy more of the Cape region before flying to the warm waters of the east cost for some tropical reef diving. The trip suits people who enjoy diving but are also looking to see more of the country at a relaxed pace.
You will be met at the airport and transferred to Gansbaai. Spend the rest of the day relaxing.
Spend the next day out at sea viewing great white sharks from the boat and qualified divers can enter the cage. There is the option to spend the following day diving again, or perhaps you would prefer to spend the day exploring the local area. At the end of the day you will be transferred to the Cape Town.
After breakfast you will be taken on a tour of the winelands. You will visit the historic towns of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl, home to the Cape winelands. Stop at wine estates to relax and enjoy some of the delicious wines and cheeses.
After spending a relaxing day in the winelands you will transfer to Cape Town. This vibrant, cosmopolitan city has so much to offer visitors. Whether you climb Table Mountain, visit District 6 (home to some of the first "freed slaves of 1838), shop "till you drop" at the V&A Waterfront or take the ferry to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela endured 27 years of incarceration, you are guaranteed a fun packed couple of days.
Time for some more diving! You will fly to Durban and transfer to Sodwana Bay. Spend the next 4 days exploring the coral and fish life on the extensive reefs.
After your last dive at Sodwana you will be transferred to Hluhluwe to enjoy an afternoon game drive. At night, dinner is often served around the roaring fire in a traditional South African boma. Spend the next day on safari and in between game drives relax by the pool.
After a morning safari, transfer back to Durban to catch your flight back to the UK.
